SPECIALTY NOTARY STAMPS

SPECIALTY NOTARY STAMPS

Oftentimes a Notary Public may be required to make the addition of new language to a document in the form of a venue, acknowledgement and/or jurat.  The notary public is responsible to amend the document to properly conform to the law.  This is done when documents being notarized are missing the required verbiage.

A venue is the jurisdiction (state, county) in which the notarial act transpired.

An acknowledgment is a formal declaration before an authorized public officer that confirms the fact that the party actually signed the document.

A jurat is the clause on the bottom of a document which is evidence that an oath or affirmation was administered.
